KLATEN IN BRIEF

Regional goverment of Klaten was established on October 28, 1950. Dividing into 26 District dan 391 vilages and 10 Kalurahan has a lot tourist objec, place of interest, tradisional arts, tradisional event and center of handicrafts worth to see and to enjoy.
DELES INDAH MOUNTAIN RESOR
Deles Indah is one of tourist object a mountain resor with cool weather, natural condition and beutiful panorama. Visitors can find semi adventure trip, camping ground and other interseting object.
THE CENTRAL JAVA SUGAR MUSEUM

THE GRAVE OF K.A. PANDANARAN
The Grave yard is in the Jabalkab hill, it is in Paseban Village Bayat Subdistrict 15 Km to south of Klaten. Ki Ageng Pandanaran was regent in Semarang, he was recomended by Dunan Kalijaga by the name of Walisongo to spread Islam. In the Ki Ageng Pandanaran"s grave yard there is an old grave yard which is believed as Dampo Awang"s everlasting rest place in the story he is know as an expert sailor. Someone we can do "Depani" (the both hands can touch the both sides of Dampo Awang"s grave yard) so his request would be fulfilled.
THE GRAVE OF R. Ng. RONGGOWARSITO
R. Ng. Ronggowarsito was a royal writer of Surakarta in the seventeenth century, very famous with his Javanese literature R. Ng. Ronggowarsito was the son of Mas Ngabehi Ronggowarsito II, servent of Panewu Adipati Anom Kraton Surakarta.

It is named Oro-Oro Tarwiyah because one upon a time K>A> Gribig brought a hand full of soil from Mecca and Arofah dessert to be planted at Oro-Oro Tarwiyah. And than ini front of the Mosque and this is the park Sendang Plampeyan.
SYAWALAN TRADITIONAL EVENT

CERAMICS HANDICRAFT MELIKAN WEDI
